Sheet Metal Fabricator

Location: Appleton, Wisconsin, United States; onsite, 2nd shift

Salary: $27.15+ per hour, including the 2nd-shift premium.

What you will do

• Check job sheets and set up machines for sheet-metal cutting and forming operations.
• Operate press brakes, lasers, water jets, turrets, rollers, panel benders, and other fabrication equipment.
• Load and unload materials, prepare parts, apply measurements, and use computer-based machine setup tools.
• Read blueprints, schematic diagrams, job routings, work orders, and related paperwork.
• Move and lift parts using carts, overhead hoists, and other equipment, including parts weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area, follow instructions, rotate jobs, and work scheduled overtime when needed.

Requirements

• Previous experience with basic hand tools.
• Ability to read tape measures, blueprints, safety manuals, work orders, and schematic diagrams.
• Ability to stand and walk throughout the shift and safely operate industrial equipment.
• Ability to lift and manipulate parts or equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to recognize abnormal operating conditions, identify safety issues, and use required personal protective equipment.
• Strong communication, responsibility, adaptability, and teamwork skills.

Nice to have

• Previous metal-fabrication experience.
• At least one year of metal-fabrication experience.
• Previous experience as a Pierce team member or contractor.
