Machine Operator (CNC)

Location: Riceville, Iowa, United States; onsite, 1st shift

Pay range: $20–$25.48

What you will do

• Program, set up, and operate CNC laser, plasma, shear, rolling, press brake, milling, saw, and punch equipment.
• Produce parts according to production priorities while maintaining quality and safety standards.
• Read technical drawings and use calipers, protractors, tape measures, and other measuring devices to verify tolerances.
• Troubleshoot equipment and perform preventative maintenance as needed.
• Use hand tools and operate vacuum-lift, overhead, gantry, and jib cranes while handling materials weighing up to 10,000 pounds.

Requirements

• At least six months of applicable machine operation or fabrication experience, or an evaluated equivalent.
• Ability to use, read, and understand fabrication tools and measuring equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, technical procedures, and government regulations.
• Ability to perform the physical duties of the role, including standing, walking, repetitive upper-extremity motion, lifting up to 35 pounds, and pushing or pulling up to 25 pounds.

Nice to have

• High school diploma or GED.
• Operational knowledge of CNC cutting machines, press brakes, drills, and saws.
• Ability to run a fabrication machine proficiently with little to no quality defects.
• Experience working effectively in a team environment.
