Home Building Project Manager

Location: Elgin, South Carolina, United States; primarily field-based with visits to multiple jobsites

Salary: $75,000–$100,000 annual

What you will do

• Manage the day-to-day construction of multiple residential homes from pre-construction through final completion and homeowner closing.
• Coordinate subcontractors, trade partners, suppliers, inspections, material deliveries, and construction schedules.
• Inspect jobsites, workmanship, materials, and completed subcontractor work for compliance with plans, specifications, building codes, and quality standards.
• Monitor jobsite safety, identify construction defects and delays, and coordinate timely corrective actions.
• Manage punch-list items, homeowner walkthroughs, closing preparation, and warranty-related issues when needed.
• Report project status, delays, budget issues, and quality concerns while maintaining accurate construction records.

Requirements

• 3–7+ years of experience in residential homebuilding or new home construction.
• Experience managing residential construction projects from start to finish and coordinating subcontractors and trade partners.
• Knowledge of residential construction processes, including foundations, framing, roofing, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, drywall, flooring, cabinetry, and finishes.
• Ability to read construction plans, drawings, and specifications and identify construction defects and quality issues.
• Knowledge of residential building codes and construction safety practices, with strong scheduling, organization, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• High school diploma, valid driver’s license, and reliable transportation required; a degree or construction-related certification is preferred.
