Commercial Banking - Portfolio Management and Underwriting

Location: Cleveland, Ohio, United States — onsite at 200 Public Square

Salary: $100,000–$150,000 annually, plus potential incentive compensation.

What you will do

• Manage underwriting and portfolio activities in line with the bank’s risk culture.
• Act as the primary banking contact for portfolio issues, renewals, reporting, maintenance, and existing-credit requests.
• Drive loan closing processes and coordinate with relationship managers, closing teams, and portfolio coordinators.
• Manage maturities, annual reviews, covenant reporting, payment issues, loan documentation exceptions, and borrowing-base availability.
• Prepare quarterly customer reports, FAS 114 analyses, risk ratings, SOX controls, and pricing and fee reviews.
• Identify cross-sell opportunities with relationship managers and mentor Associates and Senior Associates.

Requirements

• 5–7 years of applicable experience in underwriting, structuring, loan closing, documentation, and portfolio management.
• Demonstrated credit expertise in a specific commercial banking industry or vertical.
• Strong knowledge of key banking systems, applications, and models.
• Analytical thinking, business banking, client service, credit processes, financial advising, and portfolio management skills.
• Legal eligibility to work at the specified United States location is required; a valid work or study permit may be required where applicable.
