Commercial Portfolio Manager - Corporate Banking - Power & Utilities

Location: Office-based role in Columbus, OH; preferred locations include Atlanta, Columbus, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Chicago, Charlotte, Dallas, and Houston. Flexible work arrangements may be available depending on the hiring team.

Salary: $93,000–$189,000 annual base salary, plus potential incentive compensation.

What you will do

• Co-manage a growing $4.5 billion portfolio in the Power & Utilities vertical.
• Underwrite and close broadly syndicated and complex commercial loans.
• Prepare credit recommendations for the appropriate level of credit administration.
• Review loan documentation in consultation with legal counsel.
• Monitor customer creditworthiness, loan compliance, business conditions, collateral exceptions, borrowing bases, delinquencies, reviews, and renewals.
• Work with Relationship Managers, Treasury Management, Capital Markets, and other partners to optimize customer relationships.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Completion of a formalized credit training program.
• 7+ years of related portfolio management experience.
• Strong experience structuring complex credits and presenting research and recommendations verbally and in writing.
• Strong negotiation, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
• Proficiency with software applications supporting the loan underwriting process.

Nice to have

• 10 years of diversified banking experience with increasing responsibility.
• At least 3 years of Power & Utilities experience.
• Industry knowledge and established networks in the regulated utility sector.
• Leadership experience coaching, developing, and providing feedback to team members.
• High degree of professionalism.
