Head of Commercial Real Estate Banking

Location: In office at 555 South Flower Street, Los Angeles, California, US 90071

Starting base salary: $218,782–$406,300 per year, plus eligibility for bonus and/or commissions.

What you will do

• Set the strategic direction and oversee the Commercial Real Estate Banking division.
• Lead, recruit, develop, and retain regional managers, relationship managers, loan officers, and support professionals.
• Develop and execute CRE banking plans aligned with corporate objectives and market opportunities.
• Drive revenue growth, loan production, expense management, profitability, credit quality, and capital efficiency.
• Originate and structure commercial real estate lending solutions while maintaining disciplined risk management and regulatory compliance.
• Build institutional and market relationships, identify cross-selling opportunities, and represent the bank with clients and industry participants.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• 10+ years of financial services experience working with commercial banking, institutional, or corporate banking clients, with an emphasis on commercial real estate.
• 10+ years of experience leading regional or national relationship management and coverage organizations.
• Extensive experience originating performing commercial real estate loans across multifamily, industrial, office, retail, and mixed-use properties.
• Strong national-level credit analysis, underwriting, loan structuring, cash flow analysis, collateral valuation, quantitative, and analytical capabilities.
• Ability to balance growth, profitability, portfolio quality, rigorous underwriting standards, risk limits, and regulatory compliance.
