Portfolio Manager III (Sponsor Finance)

Salary: $122,535–$208,715 per year, plus eligibility for bonus and/or commissions

What you will do

• Manage an assigned credit portfolio, including underwriting credit exposures and overseeing credit risk.
• Prepare credit recommendations, underwriting memorandums, and approval documents for new and existing clients.
• Analyze borrower and guarantor financial statements, tax returns, projections, and cash flow proformas.
• Monitor portfolio performance, risk ratings, reporting covenants, covenant compliance, and periodic reviews.
• Partner with Relationship Managers, Credit Risk, Sales, and cross-functional teams to deliver tailored credit solutions.
• Mentor junior colleagues and participate in client meetings, sales pitches, and ad hoc organizational projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Finance, Business, or a related field.
• Minimum 6 years of progressively increasing experience in credit underwriting and portfolio management.
• Advanced experience in credit management and lending operations, with a strong understanding of risk management principles.
• Advanced analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
• Strong communication, collaboration, leadership, and coaching skills.
• Industry-specific knowledge and expertise.
