CNC Plate Cutter Operator

Location: North Kingstown, Rhode Island, United States; onsite

Salary: $24.00–$26.00 per hour

What you will do

• Read operation travelers, engineered drawings, prints, and oral instructions to plan work and determine efficient machine setups.
• Develop and load CNC programs for waterjet, plasma, and laser cutting operations.
• Identify plate thicknesses and adjust cutting speeds and machine settings as needed.
• Monitor machine operation, inspect first pieces and finished parts, and correct out-of-tolerance features.
• Use micrometers, verniers, calipers, thread gauges, plug gauges, and other precision measuring equipment.
• Operate multiple machines when required, report faults, replace consumable parts, and maintain the work area and equipment.

Requirements

• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• General computer skills and experience with AutoCAD and CNC software.
• Ability to use measuring equipment and read gauges.
• Ability to obtain forklift and overhead crane certifications.
• Self-starter who can work independently when needed.
