Shop Machine Operator (CNC)

What you will do

• Operate CNC burning machines using plasma and oxyfuel torches, along with presses, saws, rolls, and other steel fabrication equipment.
• Operate overhead cranes, forklifts, and related machinery to load and unload burning machines.
• Read drawings and specifications to identify dimensions, tolerances, and other production requirements.
• Measure cut products with tape measures, angle gauges, and other measuring tools.
• Complete preventive and routine maintenance on CNC machines.
• Communicate courteously and professionally with coworkers and other personnel.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• No CNC experience is required; training on the machinery is provided.
• Strong practical math skills are preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs frequently and up to 50 lbs infrequently.
• Must be able to stand for the entire workday.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.

Culture & Benefits

• Full-time schedule from Monday through Thursday.
• Option of a 6:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. schedule with three-day weekends.
• Evening schedule from 5:00 p.m. to 3:00 a.m. is also available.
• Willingness to work the night shift is required.
• Work is performed in a steel fabrication shop under established safety standards and procedures.
