Civil Engineer - EIT

Salary: USD $67,288–$80,000 per year

What you will do

• Support project managers and project engineers with plans, specifications, technical reports, and cost estimates.
• Assist with construction management, including material submittal reviews and contractor coordination.
• Contribute to civil engineering projects covering site development, industrial facilities, municipal infrastructure, roadways, drainage, grading, and water and sanitary sewer utilities.
• Conduct site visits, surveys, inspections, and infrastructure data collection and assessment.
• Interpret civil site backgrounds, work with Xrefs, follow drafting standards, and create design details from sketches and manufacturer datasheets.
• Deliver quality work across multiple concurrent projects while meeting budgets and schedules and maintaining relationships with clients and public agencies.

Requirements

• B.S. degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline with 0–4 years of related experience.
• Active Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification for the State of Texas is required.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Experience with computer-assisted engineering and design software such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, or GIS.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; flexibility, organization, accountability, and dependability.
• Physical ability to perform field work.

Nice to have

• Experience with Civil 3D.
• Success in achieving scope, schedule, and budget goals.
