Utility EIT/Coordinator (Transportation)

What you will do

• Coordinate with project teams and utility owners to identify, confirm, and mitigate utility risks on civil transportation projects.
• Research utility records, mapping, plans, and contact information.
• Coordinate or support Subsurface Utility Engineering investigations conducted by hirify.global and subcontractors.
• Identify utility conflicts and assist with design-based mitigation, utility relocation, and conflict resolution.
• Support wet and dry utility design, utility plans, specifications, and client deliverables.
• Coordinate with utility owners and construction management teams during utility relocation installation and participate in QA/QC reviews.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.
• Two years of related experience in transportation, roadway, or utility work.
• Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate preferred; candidates without an EIT are expected to obtain it for career progression.
• Proficiency with MicroStation and/or AutoCAD, with familiarity with Civil 3D, OpenRoads Designer, ConceptStation, InfraWorks, ArcGIS, Field Maps, Bluebeam, or Adobe.
• Ability to read civil transportation design plans and utility installation or adjustment plans.
• Strong verbal and written communication, organization, scheduling, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
