Highway Designer/EIT

Location: Rocky Hill, Connecticut, United States; local candidates preferred

Salary: $67,704–$140,040 per year

What you will do

• Design urban and rural roadway projects with project engineers.
• Develop roadway alignment, profiles, geometrics, drainage, plans, and construction estimates.
• Assist with technical reports, specifications, and engineering calculations.
• Support additional project duties as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience.
• Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate preferred; candidates without EIT are expected to obtain it for career progression.
• Proficiency with MicroStation and/or AutoCAD.
• Experience with highway and road engineering software, including Bentley ConceptStation, OpenRoads Designer, Autodesk InfraWorks, or Civil 3D.
