Annualized salary ranges listed: $141,000–$190,000 for Illinois, $167,250–$195,000 for New York, and $150,000–$190,000 for Washington, D.C.

What you will do

  • Develop creative pricing solutions and alternative fee arrangements aligned with client objectives and firm financial goals.
  • Support attorneys with pricing proposals, fee estimates, matter budgets, annual rate arrangements, and client financial terms.
  • Work with clients to understand business objectives, cost pressures, and pricing preferences.
  • Partner with Business Development and attorneys on RFP pricing responses, electronic auctions, and competitive bidding processes.
  • Track matter progress against budgets, address overruns and scope changes, and support budget revisions and client communications.
  • Develop training materials, processes, procedures, and tools for pricing and legal project management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 5+ years of pricing or related experience, preferably in a law firm.
  • Strong interpersonal, relationship-building, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Commercial acumen and financial analysis skills, including evaluating pricing proposals and their financial impact.
  • Strong organization, prioritization, deadline management, flexibility, and adaptability.
  • High proficiency with Microsoft products, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SQL, and Power BI; ability to handle confidential information.

Nice to have

  • Working knowledge of legal industry financial and billing systems.
