Manager of Strategic Pricing (Legal Pricing)

What you will do

• Support attorneys, partners, and clients with pricing requests, fee estimates, budget development, and alternative fee arrangements.
• Develop, negotiate, and implement fee arrangements that balance client budgets with firm requirements.
• Prepare financial models, pricing templates, metrics, reports, and forecasting systems.
• Build and maintain pricing databases and tools using historical matter data.
• Track competitive market data and pricing trends by region, practice area, and industry.
• Lead pricing process improvements and supervise, educate, and mentor Pricing Analysts.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and at least five years of strategic financial or pricing analysis and reporting experience in a law firm, legal department, litigation financing, or professional services environment.
• Substantive knowledge of legal practice and business operations, including alternative pricing structures, portfolio management, and financial modeling.
• Strong verbal, presentation, technical, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills, including experience with SQL and AI tools.
• Knowledge of Aderant or other law firm practice management tools.
• Advanced proficiency in developing and maintaining pricing tools and databases.
• Ability to sit and stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.

Nice to have

• ALPP or PMP qualification.
• Supervisory experience.
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI.
