Financial Analyst - Pricing & FP&A

Location: St. Louis, MO, USA; the position will be based in the Kansas City office.

What you will do

• Support proposal pricing analysis covering labor rates, billability, staffing mix, multipliers, margins, and profitability scenarios.
• Build proposal profitability models, tracking processes, and reporting; identify trends and recommend improvements.
• Partner with Finance Business Partners, Regional Operations, and pursuit teams to evaluate proposal economics, risks, opportunities, and recommendations.
• Prepare monthly financial review analysis, including variance analysis, KPI reviews, profitability trends, and business-driver commentary.
• Support forecasting and budgeting by gathering assumptions, validating inputs, and analyzing regional and business-unit performance.
• Develop repeatable tools and provide financial analysis for Finance, Commercial, Operations, Accounting, and other stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in FP&A, pricing, financial analysis, project finance, commercial finance, or a similar analytical role.
• Strong Excel financial modeling skills, including scenario analysis, sensitivity analysis, and large dataset analysis.
• Strong PowerPoint and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex analysis clearly and concisely.
• Strong understanding of accounting and financial concepts.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, solve problems, and collaborate cross-functionally.

Nice to have

• Experience with pricing, proposals, project profitability, rate analysis, or project-based financial modeling.
• Experience in architecture, engineering, construction, consulting, professional services, or other project-based businesses.
• Experience with AI-assisted analysis, Power BI, Power Query, SQL, VBA, or similar data analysis tools.
