Industrial Systems Engineer (Manufacturing)

Location: Remote from Minnesota, United States, with frequent travel of 40–50%; must be near a major airport.

What you will do

• Design operational processes and define requirements with functional teams for build-to-order packaging equipment.
• Improve manufacturing processes, operational and material flow, assembly stations, layouts, and production efficiency.
• Develop and implement KPI tools, corrective actions, and process changes to reduce machine costs, lead times, and labor.
• Plan inventory control and job-order procedures to meet production and customer demand.
• Train divisional leaders and departments on DFMA, ERP, flow-line assembly, and material-management best practices.
• Support make-or-buy decisions, solution engineering, project implementation, and configurable equipment development.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related concentration.
• 7+ years of related work experience and experience in the manufacturing industry.
• Experience with SyteLine or another fully integrated ERP system.
• Ability to mine and extract data to support business processes.
• Experience with project implementation and solution engineering.
• Ability to work independently, collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders, and travel 40–50%.
