Civil Industrial Engineer / Project Manager (Industrial Engineering)

Location: Remote in North Carolina; candidates must be authorized to work for any U.S. employer without visa sponsorship. hirify.global cannot currently hire employees residing in AK, AR, CA, CT, DE, HI, KY, MA, RI, VT, or PR. Relocation candidates should indicate this in their application.

Base compensation: $125,000–$145,000 per year, depending on skills and experience.

What you will do

• Lead the planning, coordination, design, and delivery of industrial projects from concept through implementation.
• Manage engineering design and construction-phase services, including scopes, schedules, budgets, fees, and resources.
• Build client relationships, advise on operational goals, and develop practical engineering solutions.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and subconsultants while guiding key technical and project decisions.
• Support business development through client engagement, presentations, interviews, and proposals.
• Mentor engineering staff and contribute to the growth of hirify.global’s Industrial practice.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain licensure through reciprocity.
• Experience managing engineering projects for industrial, manufacturing, energy, food processing, or other private-sector clients.
• Experience with project scopes, budgets, schedules, resource coordination, client relationships, proposals, and business development.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams, coordinate subconsultants, and translate client needs into engineering solutions.
• Willingness to travel for client meetings, site visits, project coordination, and business development; occasional overnight travel may be required.

Nice to have

• 15 or more years of progressive engineering experience.
• Consulting experience with industrial and manufacturing clients.
• Experience leading complex facility, site development, infrastructure, or capital improvement projects.
• Knowledge of industrial facility operations, permitting, and construction implementation.
• Experience mentoring engineers and contributing to strategic engineering-practice growth.
