Manufacturing Production Manager (Automotive)

Location: Hybrid; based in a United States hirify.global office at least 3 days per week. Pittsburgh, PA is the stated role location, with office options in Bozeman, Coppell, Livonia, Louisville, Mountain View, San Francisco, and Seattle.

Salary: $133,000–$213,000 per year, plus annual bonus, equity compensation, and benefits.

What you will do

• Manage Production Planners and Project Managers and communicate schedule, quality, budget, risks, and manufacturing status to Hardware leadership.
• Deliver supply for vehicle and independent manufacturing demand, including internal and external production, repairs, maintenance, upgrades, and spare parts.
• Lead production stand-ups across Vehicle Integration, Integrated Modules, Subassemblies, Harnesses, and collaborative teams.
• Track quality-system KPIs, cost metrics, production efficiency, and downtime while driving continuous improvement.
• Champion ERP usage for job data and inventory controls; collaborate with engineering on MBOM creation, data management, and part creation.
• Coordinate materials, resources, technicians, production readiness, Clear To Build activities, and urgent hardware rework with Supply Chain, Quality, VRE, SEO, and Product Engineering.

Requirements

• 10 years of production management experience, including possible experience as an individual contributor in a production office.
• Knowledge of production planning and manufacturing in R&D environments.
• Experience implementing and continuously improving ERP systems.
• Ability to multitask and adapt quickly to changing product designs.
• Authorization to work lawfully in the United States is required.

Nice to have

• Proficiency with ERP and Manufacturing Execution Systems.
• Program or Project Management skills.
• Knowledge of JIRA and Confluence.
• Bachelor of Science in Engineering or an MBA.
• Foundational financial and accounting knowledge.
