ServiceNow Developer (CSM)

Location: Rockville, Maryland (Remote); must be a U.S. Citizen, able to obtain Secret clearance, and able to work in a secure government environment with CAC access.

Salary: $135,000–$145,000 annually.

What you will do

• Build and configure ServiceNow CSM Configurable Workspace, Service Portal, intent-based Record Producers, catalog workflows, and case management functionality.
• Implement Flow Designer and Process Automation Designer playbooks, subflows, automated task routing, notifications, and stage-gated workflows.
• Configure secure bi-directional REST integrations using Integration Hub, Robust Transform Engines, and Workflow Data Fabric.
• Execute ETL and legacy data migrations from SharePoint lists, spreadsheets, flat files, and custom tables using staging tables, cleansing scripts, schema mapping, deduplication, and the client Unique Account ID.
• Configure Performance Analytics indicators, collection jobs, breakdown sources, reporting views, and dashboard filters.
• Support secure-environment remediation, current-workflow migration to CSM, UAT, training, deployment, and go-live readiness under the Lead ServiceNow Architect.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of hands-on IT platform development or configuration experience, including at least 3 years of ServiceNow platform experience and at least 2 years of ServiceNow CSM configuration or development experience.
• ServiceNow CSM configuration and development experience, including Configurable Workspace, Service Portal, Record Producers, catalog workflows, and case management.
• Experience with Integration Hub, REST APIs, Robust Transform Engines, and Workflow Data Fabric where applicable.
• Experience executing automated data migrations, schema mapping, data cleansing, staging import sets, deduplication, and target-record indexing from legacy formats.
• Experience building Performance Analytics dashboards, reports, indicators, collection jobs, breakdown sources, and dashboard filters.
• Experience implementing Flow Designer and Process Automation Designer automation, including playbooks, subflows, task routing, and system notifications.
• Experience configuring Query Business Rules and field-level ACLs for secure data visibility and multi-tenant boundaries.
• Practical ES5/ES6 scripting, clean and upgrade-safe configuration, unit testing, and timely escalation of blockers.
• Ability to work under a Lead ServiceNow Architect and provide clear progress updates; execution-focused, detail-oriented, and collaborative approach.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Government-required IAT Level II baseline certification, such as CompTIA Security+ CE, if required by the customer or environment.
• U.S. citizenship, eligibility to obtain Secret clearance, and ability to work in a secure government environment with CAC access.

Nice to have

• Prior ServiceNow configuration or hardening experience in secure government, federal, or similarly regulated cloud environments.
• STIG or CIS Benchmark hardening experience.
• Webhooks with custom-script error and latency handling.
• GitLab integration experience.
• ServiceNow ITSM experience in addition to CSM.
• ServiceNow CSA, CAD, CIS-CSM, or CIS-ITSM certifications, and micro-certifications in Flow Designer, Integration Hub, or Performance Analytics.
• Experience building or customizing Service Portal widgets using HTML, CSS, and SASS.
