ServiceNow Developer (CSM)

Location: Remote, Rockville, Maryland; must be a U.S. Citizen and able to obtain and use a Common Access Card (CAC)

Salary: $135,000–$145,000 annually

What you will do

• Configure and develop ServiceNow CSM capabilities, including Configurable Workspace, Service Portal, Record Producers, catalog workflows, and case management.
• Implement Flow Designer and Process Automation Designer playbooks, subflows, automated task routing, and system notifications.
• Build secure, bi-directional REST integrations using Integration Hub, Robust Transform Engines, and Workflow Data Fabric.
• Execute legacy data migrations by creating staging tables, cleansing records, mapping schemas, supporting deduplication, and indexing records with the client Unique Account ID.
• Configure Performance Analytics indicators, collection jobs, breakdown sources, dashboard filters, and reporting views.
• Support secure government environment remediation, workflow migration, UAT, training, and deployment readiness under the Lead ServiceNow Architect.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship and eligibility to obtain and use a CAC are required.
• At least 5 years of hands-on IT platform development or configuration experience, including 3 years with ServiceNow and 2 years with ServiceNow CSM.
• Hands-on experience with ServiceNow CSM, Integration Hub, REST APIs, Robust Transform Engines, Flow Designer, Process Automation Designer, and Performance Analytics.
• Experience with automated data migration, staging import sets, data cleansing scripts, schema mapping, deduplication, and legacy sources such as spreadsheets, SharePoint lists, flat files, and custom tables.
• Experience configuring Query Business Rules and field-level ACLs for secure data visibility and multi-tenant boundaries.
• Practical ES5/ES6 scripting, clean upgrade-safe configuration, unit testing, clear progress reporting, and timely escalation of blockers.

Nice to have

• ServiceNow experience in secure government, federal, or regulated cloud environments.
• STIG or CIS Benchmark hardening experience and government-required IAT Level II certification such as CompTIA Security+ CE.
• Webhooks with custom error and latency handling, GitLab integration, and ServiceNow ITSM experience.
• Service Portal widget customization using HTML, CSS, and SASS.
• ServiceNow CSA, CAD, CIS-CSM, CIS-ITSM, or relevant micro-certifications.
