ServiceNow Platform Engineer (ServiceNow)

Location: Hybrid in Washington, D.C. 20036, United States

Salary: $180,000–$200,000 annually, based on experience.

What you will do

• Stand up, configure, secure, and maintain a new ServiceNow environment within a secure federal enclave.
• Establish instance architecture, administration standards, security settings, upgrade processes, and patch management.
• Install and configure MID Servers and establish secure platform connectivity.
• Configure LDAP/Active Directory, SSO/SAML, authorization, and role-based access controls.
• Develop REST/SOAP and IntegrationHub integrations and support ITSM and CMDB implementation.
• Maintain documentation, build procedures, technical designs, update sets, and Agile/Scrum delivery activities while coordinating with security, infrastructure, and program stakeholders.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship and Top Secret clearance are required; candidates with an active Secret clearance may be considered, with upgrade sponsorship available for the right candidate.
• 5+ years of hands-on ServiceNow administration, configuration, and platform engineering experience.
• Experience standing up new ServiceNow instances or leading instance-level builds and migrations.
• Strong server-side and client-side JavaScript, Glide APIs, Business Rules, and Script Includes experience.
• Experience with MID Servers, REST/SOAP integrations, and federal security frameworks including NIST, FISMA, and STIGs.
• ServiceNow Certified System Administrator certification and experience working with Agile/Scrum teams.

Nice to have

• Federal or defense contracting experience, especially in classified, air-gapped, or isolated networks.
• ServiceNow CAD or CIS certification.
• Hands-on CMDB, ITOM, Discovery, ServiceNow ATF, release coordination, version control, or environment management experience.
• Experience supporting Windows Server implementation, upgrades, and integrations.
