Principal of Cloud Infrastructure & Engineering

Location: Owings Mills, Maryland, United States. Hybrid work is available, with up to three days per week from home.

Base salary: $159,000–$272,000 for Maryland, Colorado, Washington, and remote workers; other US location ranges may apply. Discretionary bonus eligibility is also available.

What you will do

• Lead the design, development, deployment, architecture, and governance of enterprise cloud infrastructure.
• Manage cloud sustainability, reliability, resilience, scalability, cost optimization, and operational supportability.
• Define automation platforms, deployment patterns, and Infrastructure as Code practices.
• Lead complex technical initiatives and resolve critical infrastructure issues across on-premises and cloud environments.
• Advise on cloud technology strategy, multi-cloud adoption, emerging technologies, and architecture governance.
• Recruit, mentor, coach, and manage the performance and development of a globally distributed engineering team.

Requirements

• Must have US work authorization without current or future visa sponsorship requirements.
• 10+ years of technical leadership experience, including management of geographically distributed teams.
• Expertise in infrastructure integration across on-premises environments and cloud service providers.
• Current hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, and GCP cloud security, reliability, and integration practices.
• Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code, including Terraform and CloudFormation, plus large-scale automated configuration.
• Experience designing highly available, resilient systems and modern monitoring and alerting solutions.

Nice to have

• Cloud certifications.
• Prior asset management experience.
• Experience with Ansible, Python, Java, or Groovy.
• Experience integrating SaaS and vendor solutions across cloud environments.
