Cloud Infrastructure Associate Director (AWS/Azure)

Location: Hybrid work based in New York City or Washington DC–McLean, with work in local hirify.global offices and on client sites; local or out-of-state travel may be required.

Salary: $153,000–$260,000 annually, plus a 16% bonus target; estimated total cash compensation is $177,480–$301,600.

What you will do

• Advise strategic clients and implement infrastructure, networking, cloud, and security solutions.
• Lead the successful delivery of project work plans across a diverse portfolio of clients and industries.
• Design, deploy, migrate, secure, and remediate server, network, storage, application, and cloud environments.
• Translate business, regulatory, business continuity, and disaster recovery requirements into technical solutions.
• Mentor, coach, supervise, and develop consulting teams while fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing.
• Build senior client relationships, identify business development opportunities, and contribute to proposals and thought leadership.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, networking, or a relevant field, or equivalent experience.
• 9+ years of experience in professional services, managed services, or hands-on presales roles.
• Recent hands-on experience with Windows Server, Linux administration, enterprise networking, cloud platforms, virtualization, storage, backup, and infrastructure management.
• Experience with scripting for administrative and operational purposes, especially PowerShell, Python, or Bash/Linux shell scripting.
• Experience designing and deploying solutions, documenting undocumented systems, creating dependency maps or architecture overviews, and supporting post-merger IT integration.
• Excellent written and verbal English is required. Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, leadership, and executive collaboration skills are essential.

Nice to have

• AWS or Azure professional certifications, such as AWS Solutions Architect Professional, AWS DevOps Engineer Professional, or Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
• Experience with Cisco, Meraki, HPE/Aruba, Juniper, Palo Alto, Fortinet, VMware, Hyper-V, Nutanix, enterprise storage, Office 365, Exchange, or Google Workspace.
• Experience designing environments to meet PCI-DSS, CMMC, NIST 800-53, or similar regulatory requirements.
• Personal technology projects or demonstrated extracurricular interest in technology.
