Alternative Delivery Manager (Water Conveyance)

Location: Austin, Dallas, Fort Worth, Houston, or San Antonio, Texas. Travel may exceed 50% depending on the assignment and project requirements. Relocation is available to Wisconsin, Illinois, Minnesota, Washington, Virginia, or Texas, or to other Michels offices.

What you will do

• Provide direction and management across all phases of alternative and collaborative delivery projects focused on large-diameter water conveyance.
• Lead business development, teaming, project pursuits, and proposal development.
• Manage active contracts and design activities while coordinating internal teams, partners, clients, and municipalities.
• Provide leadership and guidance throughout project pursuits and delivery.
• Make timely, informed decisions while managing multiple priorities and meeting client expectations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering, plus 10 or more years of contractor or construction management experience, or an equivalent combination.
• Required experience with water conveyance, municipal engagement, and applicable regulations.
• Experience and understanding of alternative delivery projects, including design-build and EPC.
• Experience in key project leadership roles and technical writing.
• Understanding of scheduling, estimating, and project controls software.
• Valid driver’s license for the vehicles driven and an acceptable driving record.

Nice to have

• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• DBIA certification.
