Mechanical Engineer III

Location: Morton Grove, Illinois, United States; onsite at the Morton Grove site, Monday to Friday during normal office hours

Salary: USD 107,120–133,900 yearly

What you will do

• Support external customers across the design, manufacture, build, testing, and technical assessment of gas seal solutions.
• Evaluate in-house test failures and dry gas seal designs to identify solutions.
• Perform calculations, analyses, and computations for mechanical engineering problems.
• Use proprietary FEA software to investigate technical issues and create CAD concept sketches for design modifications.
• Prepare technical presentations and feedback for internal and external customers.
• Support commercial teams, Development Engineering, and Operations in customer meetings and project delivery.

Requirements

• Relevant experience in a mechanical engineering role.
• Ability to read P&ID, general arrangement, and detail drawings.
• Knowledge of controls, control systems, and instrumentation.
• Ability to work independently, plan work, meet deadlines, and support team goals.
• Ability to conduct and lead meetings, with strong communication and commercial awareness.
• Experience with rotating equipment, precision engineering, failure analysis, or root cause analysis is advantageous.

• Experience in forensic analysis.
