Location: Irving, Texas, United States; telecommuting permitted up to 20%; up to 20% domestic travel may be required.

What you will do
- Investigate product-related problems and recommend solutions to optimize the thermal and mechanical performance of semiconductor components and systems.
- Design and develop new semiconductor products and redesign existing products using detailed 3D models and engineering drawings.
- Develop heat dissipation solutions involving advanced heat sinks, liquid cold plates, thermal interfaces, and cooling systems.
- Lead thermal management projects, coordinate cross-functional teams, and support delivery within aggressive timelines.
- Select materials for thermal management and conduct FEA simulations to analyze failure modes and improve structural performance.
- Collaborate with Production, Quality, Marketing, Sales, and customers while reviewing documentation and issuing engineering change notifications.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field with 5 years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience; alternatively, a relevant master’s degree with 6 months of experience.
- Demonstrable experience with SolidWorks 3D and ASME GD&T standards.
- Experience performing structural, thermal, and fluid Finite Element Analysis.
- Knowledge of advanced materials, product design, manufacturing processes, plastics, molding, stampings, plating, cable assembly, and terminations.
- Knowledge of contact technologies and contact physics, Root Cause Analysis, and hands-on prototype development.
- University-level coursework, research, internship, thesis, or work experience focused on thermal energy or heat transfer.
