Assembly and Repair Technician

What you will do

• Disassemble, clean, inspect, repair, and assemble mechanical seals and rotating equipment.
• Document component wear and condition through inspection forms, photographs, and equipment records.
• Evaluate returned customer materials and determine whether they are repairable.
• Determine repair operations and verify that BOMs, drawings, specifications, and repair parts match.
• Perform simple operations using a drill press, tool post grinder, bead blast polisher, and lapping machine.
• Initiate work and purchase orders and support repair pricing as required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of mechanical seal equipment experience or comparable experience in refining, petrochemical, chemical, power, or upstream markets.
• Ability to read, write, and understand simple instructions, correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to follow written, oral, or diagram-based instructions and resolve standardized technical problems.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic with two-digit numbers and tens and hundreds.

Nice to have

• Some college or trade school education.
