Location: Gahanna, Ohio, United States; ability to travel to local offices and within California is required.

Salary: USD $66,560–$83,200 per year, plus potential participation in an annual discretionary bonus program.

What you will do

  • Facilitate energy efficiency projects from scope-of-work design through project review, construction monitoring, close-out verification, and payment.
  • Distribute large-scale payments to multifamily property owners and contractors.
  • Support customers and contractors with program requirements, technical assistance, project updates, and barrier resolution.
  • Lead contractor meetings and coordinate updates with energy advisors and cross-functional program staff.
  • Collect, analyze, and maintain accurate project data in a CRM system.
  • Prepare professional reports for program management and customers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field and at least five years of relevant experience in California’s energy or sustainability sectors, business operations, consulting, construction oversight, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of or aptitude for learning lighting, mechanical, utility systems, building envelope, and energy distribution concepts.
  • Familiarity with project design and construction processes, including the ability to monitor contractor performance.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and experience using a CRM or similar system.
  • Strong organizational, communication, analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, and teamwork skills.
  • Eligibility to work in the United States, a valid California driver’s license before employment, and ability to travel within California are required.

Nice to have

  • Experience with California utility program implementation, building performance, energy efficiency, Title 24, benchmarking, energy or field audits, multifamily properties, low-income populations, or construction management.
  • Experience with cost estimating, purchasing, and project close-out.
  • Credentials in energy efficiency or leadership and management.
