What you will do

• Examine field conditions and design documents and represent relevant details in energy models.
• Perform advanced energy modeling for high-rise commercial and residential buildings using DOE 2.2 or EnergyPlus in accordance with ASHRAE standards.
• Model HVAC systems, including chilled water, hot water, DX, rooftop, constant-air-volume, and variable-air-volume systems.
• Conduct energy audits, benchmarking, data gathering, measurement and verification, and lifecycle cost analyses.
• Prepare modeling documentation, technical reports, and recommendations for improving building energy performance and sustainability.
• Review team deliverables, perform quality assurance, and collaborate with clients, design partners, and project teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical, aerospace, or civil engineering, physics, or architecture.
• At least three years of consulting experience in energy analysis for US-based projects.
• Thorough knowledge of New York State and New York City Energy Codes.
• Strong knowledge of energy efficiency in large and complex buildings and energy modeling software, especially DOE 2.2 or EnergyPlus.
• Proven project management, communication, writing, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft software, particularly Excel, with basic AutoCAD and Revit skills.

Nice to have

• Professional Engineer or Registered Architect accreditation.
• Knowledge of Passive House International or Passive House Institute US certification systems, PHPP, or WUFI Passive.
• Knowledge of THERM, WUFI, CFD, architectural detailing, IES, or computer programming.
