Senior Software Engineer In Test (SDET)

Location: USA Remote

Base pay range: $129,700–$162,100 per year, plus an annual performance bonus.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and suites for complex API and web-based applications backed by databases.
• Validate software functionality, performance, and scalability through automated testing processes and tools.
• Create test plans, cases, procedures, and reports in collaboration with software developers and QA engineers.
• Execute tests, analyze results, reproduce and isolate defects, investigate root causes, and verify fixes.
• Collaborate in code reviews, design discussions, sprint planning, and development cycles to improve testability and quality.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines that automate build, test, and deployment processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience as a software development engineer or SDET.
• Strong programming skills in JavaScript, Java, Python, C#, or a similar language.
• SQL and database skills, including basic queries with joins and aggregate functions.
• Experience developing automated test frameworks and suites with tools such as Selenium, Appium, JUnit, or TestNG.
• Experience with CI/CD, Git, object-oriented design, data structures, algorithms, design patterns, and collaborative agile development.

Nice to have

• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience with Docker or Kubernetes.
