Senior Software Engineer in Test (Python/C#)

Location: Remote within the United States

Base salary: $129,400–$194,000 per year, plus eligible bonus, commission, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Design, implement, and maintain custom test frameworks for primary analysis software.
• Adapt automated tests to reflect new software changes and evolving analysis capabilities.
• Identify gaps and create tests that improve reliability and coverage.
• Investigate failures, triage issues, and diagnose root causes with developers.
• Maintain clear, documented, and reproducible tests for long-term support.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience developing production-ready software code and tests.
• Production-quality development experience with Python or C#.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools, workflows, and troubleshooting.
• Experience writing and maintaining automation for complex systems.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, Bioinformatics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Experience testing data-intensive, scientific, or computational analysis software.
• Familiarity with custom automation frameworks and Python data visualization libraries.
• Experience with software release documentation, benchmarking, and performance monitoring on hardware.
• Exposure to product software lifecycle tools.
