Senior Software Test Engineer (AI)

Location: Hybrid in Arlington, VA or New York, NY

Salary: $210K–$230K plus equity

hirify.global is building a maritime intelligence platform that combines HD video, AI, radar, RF sensing, and AIS into a distributed sensing network for real-time maritime domain awareness.

What you will do

• Design, build, and deploy automated test frameworks and internal validation tools for software, hardware, and operations teams.
• Develop end-to-end integration tests, regression suites, and ETL data quality checks for telemetry and third-party API integrations.
• Build backend integration services and test automation scripts in Python, TypeScript, or Java.
• Establish monitoring, automated alerting, and CI/CD testing pipelines across deployments.
• Investigate software, firmware, and data integration failures through root-cause analysis across distributed systems.
• Partner with engineering teams to define test plans, qualification procedures, and performance benchmarks.

Requirements

• 6+ years of professional software test engineering or test automation experience.
• Strong programming skills in Python, TypeScript/JavaScript, or Java.
• Experience testing RESTful APIs, integration services, and complex data flows across microservices.
• Strong SQL and database query skills for validating data correctness, schema evolution, and backend pipeline execution.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions and Jenkins, plus Docker, AWS, or Kubernetes.
• Clear written and verbal English communication, with a bias toward direct collaboration and fast execution.

Nice to have

• Experience with pytest, Cypress, Playwright, or similar test framework orchestration tools.
• Familiarity with hardware-in-the-loop testing, bus communication protocols, or edge-to-cloud data verification.
• Experience testing event-driven systems or queue-based integration patterns.
• Exposure to defense, maritime, or regulated environments with strict software verification and validation standards.
