Product Manager (Financial Services)

Location: San Francisco Bay Area; hybrid, in person three days per week. New York may be considered on an exception basis for someone willing to relocate or co-locate in San Francisco. Occasional travel to client sites is required, up to 25%.

What you will do

• Own the financial services product line, including its roadmap and long-term direction.
• Turn client deployments into reusable product capabilities while preserving account-specific solutions where needed.
• Run discovery with controllers, underwriters, analysts, operators, and other end users at client sites.
• Define product quality standards and measure accuracy, adoption, hours returned, and sustained usage.
• Prototype in design or code and work closely with engineering, design, and AI deployment leads.
• Define agent accuracy and control models, including human review, source citations, and safe failure modes.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience building products and owning an area through discovery, launch, and iteration.
• Strong technical depth, including the ability to understand system architecture, read API specifications, and collaborate directly with engineers.
• Experience shipping products into complex, document-heavy environments where errors are costly.
• Exceptional communication skills, including explaining technical trade-offs to engineers and CFOs.
• High comfort with ambiguity, rapid ramp-up, independent structuring of work, and a high quality bar.
• Ability to work in the San Francisco Bay Area in a hybrid, in-person model.

Nice to have

• Experience in financial services, accounting, audit, lending, credit, fund reporting, or the office of the CFO.
• Background in corporate finance, audit, accounting, FP&A, fund finance, banking, or underwriting.
• Forward-deployed, solutions, or founding PM experience with deep ownership of a named account.
• Experience shipping production agents and working with evaluations, accuracy, and model-output reliability.
• Production coding experience, side projects, or startup experience.
