Director, Coding (Healthcare Revenue Cycle)

Location: Remote nationwide within the United States; candidates must reside in and be authorized to work in the United States. Travel and onsite work at client, temporary, or corporate office locations may be required. Remote or hybrid work may apply depending on business needs.

Salary: $92,400–$145,500 annually.

What you will do

• Oversee coding operations to ensure accuracy, productivity, compliance, and strong audit performance.
• Lead coding managers and teams, supporting performance management, development, and engagement.
• Design, build, and maintain Power BI dashboards covering coding productivity, quality, trends, and KPIs.
• Use Copilot and Power Platform tools to automate reporting, streamline workflows, and improve decision-making.
• Analyze denials, audits, and coding performance to identify root causes and lead improvement initiatives.
• Partner with Compliance, Revenue Integrity, Clinical, IT, Analytics, Operations, and Client teams on coding strategy and technology implementations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of progressive experience in healthcare coding and revenue cycle management.
• 3+ years of leadership experience managing coding teams.
• Strong expertise in ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding methodologies.
• Demonstrated experience building Power BI dashboards and reporting solutions, plus hands-on experience with Copilot, Power Apps, Power Automate, or similar tools.
• Residence and authorization to work within the United States are required.

Nice to have

• AHIMA or AAPC certification, such as RHIA, RHIT, CCS, or CPC.
• Experience leading large, multi-site, or national coding teams.
• Exposure to SQL, data modeling, or advanced analytics tools.
