Location: Remote work may be available for well-qualified applicants, but candidates must be located in Minnesota or Wisconsin. The role may require regular presence at the employment site, in-person collaboration, and minimal travel to other US Oncology Network buildings.
Salary: $85,000–$105,000 annually

What you will do
- Perform comprehensive EMR chart audits for gynecologic, thoracic, and colorectal surgeons.
- Verify critical-element and pathway-exception documentation against federal and state regulations, payer guidelines, and captured charges.
- Train and advise physicians on documentation practices that support accurate coding and reimbursement.
- Prepare audit reports, identify coding and documentation trends, and recommend process improvements.
- Review findings with physicians individually and in group settings.
- Collaborate with Health Information Management, CDI, and billing teams to resolve coding and documentation issues.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED; an associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management or a related healthcare field is preferred.
- At least 7 years of billing, coding, and medical records experience.
- At least 1 year of auditor or educator experience.
- Strong knowledge of managed care, HMO policies and procedures, Medicare benefits, and current ICD, CPT, and HCPCS standards.
- Strong communication, mathematical, organizational, research, and follow-up skills, with the ability to work independently.
- Applicants must be located in Minnesota or Wisconsin.
