What you will do

  • Create and maintain provider and practice risk-monitoring tools, bell curve analyses, and coding performance trend reports.
  • Develop, review, maintain, and implement coding policies, procedures, workflows, educational materials, presentations, and SOPs.
  • Coordinate coding system access, application access, and coding resource requests during team onboarding.
  • Research coding, billing, payer policies, and regulatory requirements, then communicate findings to coding leadership.
  • Coordinate Coding Roundtable agendas, discussion topics, action items, and follow-up activities.
  • Maintain the Coding Department SharePoint site and support projects involving compliance, education, and process improvement.

Requirements

  • Required coding certification such as CPC-A, CPC, CCS-P, or equivalent.
  • Extensive knowledge of insurance payer guidelines and medical policies.
  • Knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Associate degree or equivalent experience, plus at least 2 years of coding experience.
  • Strong organization, communication, analytical, collaboration, and attention-to-detail skills.

Nice to have

  • Medical oncology coding experience.
