TL;DR
Process Engineer (Manufacturing): Supporting and improving production processes through troubleshooting, root cause analysis, tooling design, and process changes with an accent on safety, quality, throughput, and cost reduction. Focus on implementing manufacturing improvements, leading capital expenditure projects, reducing process variability, and applying IATF 16949 quality methods.
Location: Marion, North Carolina, United States; hands-on work on the shop floor is required.

What you will do
- Support daily production troubleshooting and root cause analysis to improve safety, quality, throughput, and operator efficiency.
- Design and implement tooling, process, and production-control improvements.
- Resolve quality issues, identify trends, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions.
- Lead cost-reduction projects from ideation and feasibility through capital expenditure approval, implementation, and sustainment.
- Work cross-functionally with safety, quality, and operations teams on manufacturing and continuous-improvement initiatives.
- Complete quality-improvement activities and toll gates for DFMEA, PFMEA, Control Plans, MSA, and process capability studies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.
- Problem-solving and root cause analysis skills.
- Proficiency with 2D and 3D CAD software.
- Ability to understand process and product specifications.
- Ability to work hands-on in a manufacturing environment and support production operations.
Nice to have
- Experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and 5S practices.
- Proficiency in data analysis, statistics, and applied mathematics.
- Understanding of industrial assembly, fabrication, and machining processes.
- Experience with SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
