Transportation Project Engineer (Civil Engineering)

Location: Fort Myers, Florida; based in the Fort Myers office

What you will do

• Execute transportation design plans, studies, and analyses using project software.
• Develop horizontal and vertical roadway geometry.
• Design stormwater, erosion prevention and sediment control, and traffic control systems.
• Support project managers in meeting project goals and delivering quality work.
• Direct and train junior staff while collaborating with transportation teams, surveyors, construction engineering inspectors, and landscape architects.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering.
• 5+ years of engineering experience, with recent transportation design experience preferred.
• Florida Professional Engineer license.
• Understanding of AASHTO roadway design guidance and knowledge of FDOT guidelines, procedures, and plan preparation.
• Experience developing roadway plans and specifications and coordinating with municipalities and permitting agencies.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, review plans for constructability and standards compliance, and communicate with attention to detail.
