Civil Project Engineer (Transportation)

What you will do

• Use Bentley OpenRoads to develop and refine 3D models, alignments, profiles, corridors, cross-sections, grading, and pipe networks.
• Prepare drawings, plans, technical specifications, reports, presentations, and client communications.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, and project managers to integrate multidisciplinary design elements.
• Conduct design reviews, constructability assessments, and quality control checks against project objectives and regulatory standards.
• Mentor and train junior engineers in the effective use of OpenRoads.
• Apply current OpenRoads advancements, industry trends, and transportation design best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 4 years of transportation engineering experience focused on roadway design, alignment optimization, and geometric design.
• Proficiency in Bentley OpenRoads.
• Familiarity with AASHTO, FTA, FHWA, and CTDOT standards and guidelines.
• Experience with drainage design, stormwater permits, and environmental compliance.
• Technical skills in MicroStation, AutoCAD/Civil 3D, and Microsoft Office; a PE license is strongly preferred.
