What you will do

  • Lead transportation projects as Engineer of Record, overseeing design, specifications, and quality control for roadways and highways.
  • Coordinate with NDDOT, municipalities, and federal agencies to ensure compliance and manage schedules/budgets.
  • Prepare detailed designs using software like Civil 3D, Microstation, or OpenRoads Designer.
  • Assist in business development through client coordination and proposal preparation.
  • Mentor junior staff and maintain strong client relationships.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's in civil engineering from ABET-accredited program and current PE license (able to obtain ND licensure via reciprocity).
  • Minimum 6 years progressive experience in transportation civil engineering, especially with state DOTs like NDDOT.
  • Strong project management skills for scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Proficiency in transportation design software (Autodesk Civil 3D, Microstation, OpenRoads Designer).
  • Effective communication skills for clients, agencies, and teams.
  • Familiarity with DOT standards.
