Senior Manager, Risk Management (Insurance)

Location: Falls Church, Virginia; based at headquarters with in-office work required at least four days per week

Salary: $115,000–$165,000 per year, plus performance-based bonuses and benefits.

What you will do

• Lead and optimize enterprise-wide property and casualty insurance programs across HITT’s operating companies.
• Manage annual renewals, coverage analysis, program design, and negotiations with carriers and brokers.
• Oversee surety bonding programs and relationships supporting project bonding capacity.
• Coordinate captive insurance administration, renewals, actuarial studies, regulatory filings, audits, and financial reporting.
• Develop risk mitigation policies and strategies, review construction contract insurance requirements, and partner with operations and safety leadership.
• Manage budgets, insurance cost recovery, financial modeling, claims trend analysis, and reporting to executive leadership and the Board of Directors.

Requirements

• 7+ years of progressive insurance and risk management experience in construction, manufacturing, or logistics.
• Expertise in property and casualty insurance program design, placement, and management.
• Experience managing surety bonding programs and carrier and broker relationships.
• Experience with loss-sensitive and fronted casualty insurance programs, as well as liability, property, and workers’ compensation claims.
• Bachelor’s degree in risk management, business, finance, economics, safety, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience accepted.
• Strong policy interpretation, construction contract insurance, data analytics, Microsoft Excel, communication, organizational, and project management skills.

Nice to have

• Professional designation such as CPCU, ARM, or CRM.
• Active property and casualty insurance license.
