Senior Healthcare Broker - Risk Management (Healthcare Professional Liability)

Location: Hybrid with an in-office requirement three days per week at an EPIC office in the United States. Listed offices include San Francisco, New York, Atlanta, and Boston. Approximately 10% travel may be required, including travel to client sites and occasional air travel.

Salary: $150,000–$175,000 annual base pay, excluding bonuses and benefits.

What you will do

• Manage healthcare client relationships, retention strategies, daily account needs, and service delivery.
• Prepare renewal specifications, strategies, presentations, stewardship reports, RFP responses, and capabilities presentations.
• Negotiate policy terms, conditions, and premiums, and review quotes, binders, policies, endorsements, and coverage requirements.
• Coordinate London and Bermuda placements with wholesale partners and build relationships with insurance underwriters.
• Identify coverage gaps and deploy risk consulting services covering claims, loss control, and analytics.
• Contribute to the growth of the National Risk Management Healthcare Practice while training and supervising junior staff.

Requirements

• At least five years of professional liability broking experience.
• Comprehensive technical understanding of healthcare professional liability coverage.
• Bachelor’s degree and an active Property & Casualty Broker License, with the ability to maintain required licensing through continuing education.
• Strong organizational, analytical, quantitative, problem-solving, negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel independently to client sites.

Nice to have

• Experience with additional healthcare casualty coverages, including workers’ compensation, automobile liability, or foreign liability.
• Related insurance designations and experience with captives.
