Associate Vice President - Aviation Client Service Leader (Aviation Engineering)

What you will do

• Lead technical client relationships and business development initiatives, including statements of qualifications, interviews, target selection, goal setting, and conference representation.
• Design and manage airport improvements such as runways, taxiways, paving, airfield lighting, hangars, fencing, and drainage systems.
• Lead airport construction drawing packages covering plans and profiles, grading and drainage, markings, NAVAIDS, lighting, and related elements.
• Prepare engineering fee estimates and project schedules while independently completing primary design elements.
• Review, approve, and seal engineering work and ensure compliance with quality, safety, and governmental standards.
• Support and mentor junior engineers and design/drafting staff while coordinating with project managers, marketing, practice leadership, and external partners.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
• 12+ years of relevant experience in aviation engineering and project management.
• Proven business development success and the ability to train and encourage others in business development.
• Experience managing aviation-sector clients, including municipalities and government agencies.
• Current Professional Engineering License in Texas or the ability to obtain one within 4 months.
• Experience producing airport or transportation construction drawings and specifications; familiarity with Microsoft Office, Newforma, and Bluebeam.

Nice to have

• Experience preparing proposals and participating in interviews.
• Leadership experience on multidisciplinary airport improvement projects.
• Experience with construction administration for public infrastructure and aviation or transportation projects for public entities in Oklahoma.
• Experience managing survey, geotechnical, and other subconsultants.
• Strong presentation, communication, and teamwork skills.
