Senior (Aviation) Professional Engineer / Project Manager, Transportation - Airfield Infrastructure

Location: Hybrid in Riverside, California; candidates must reside in or be open to relocating to the Riverside area. Permanent authorization to work in the United States is required. The hirify.global office is currently in San Bernardino and is planned to relocate to Downtown Riverside by October 2026. Travel up to 20% is required, with occasional overnight travel.

What you will do

• Lead design and planning for complex site development and airfield projects.
• Manage project scopes, schedules, financials, technical requirements, and project teams.
• Act as a technical expert and ensure design quality and compliance with applicable standards.
• Coach and mentor less experienced engineers and technical professionals.
• Develop marketing plans, proposals, client presentations, and new project opportunities with the Vice President of Aviation.
• Build relationships with airport clients, agency representatives, project partners, and industry contacts through site visits, conferences, and events.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.
• Professional Engineer registration in the State of California.
• At least 15 years of design experience in aviation, transportation, site development, or municipal projects, including roadways, utilities, grading, drainage, and stormwater management.
• At least 2 years of project management experience and a demonstrated record of client relationship management and business development.
• Experience preparing plan sets, specifications, construction cost estimates, technical reports, proposals, and presentations.
• Must be legally authorized to work permanently in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship; hirify.global does not provide employment visa sponsorship or transfers. A valid driver’s license and clean driving record are required.

Nice to have

• Five to fifteen years of aviation project experience and prior airfield or airport infrastructure design experience.
• Experience with Civil 3D, AutoCAD, or ArcGIS.
• Familiarity with Federal Aviation Administration regulations and procedures.
• Experience preparing proposals and contract documentation.
