Civil Airports Engineer / Project Manager (Airport Infrastructure)

Location: Austin, Texas and surrounding areas; candidates must be authorized to work for any U.S. employer without visa sponsorship. Employees cannot currently reside in Alaska, Arkansas, California, Connecticut, Delaware, Hawaii, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Vermont, or Puerto Rico.

Base compensation: $125,000–$150,000 annually, based on skills and experience.

What you will do

• Lead detailed design for airport infrastructure, including runways, taxiways, aprons, buildings, and utilities.
• Manage airport design and construction projects from concept through completion.
• Prepare construction plans and specifications while contributing to estimates, budgets, schedules, and fee proposals.
• Coordinate with Professional Engineers and Project Managers to define scopes and task-hour budgets.
• Lead federal and state grant application and management efforts.
• Ensure quality, safety, regulatory compliance, and adherence to current airport design standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related discipline.
• Professional Engineer license in Texas required.
• Experience leading planning, design, and execution of complex airport, FAA, and TXDOT projects.
• Experience managing airport engineering and construction projects and leading cross-functional teams.
• Experience delivering airport engineering projects across regions of Texas.
• Residence in Austin, Texas or surrounding areas and unrestricted U.S. work authorization without current or future visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Ten years of experience leading complex airport, FAA, and TXDOT projects.
• Experience with proposal writing, client management, business development, and winning project proposals.
