Scientist 1 - Gas Chromatography

Location: Westborough, MA, United States. Onsite laboratory role with a Monday–Friday shift from 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM.

Compensation: $20.20 per hour.

What you will do

• Perform, support, and oversee analysis of environmental samples using established chemistry and biochemistry methods.
• Use gas chromatography to analyze environmental samples.
• Clean, maintain, and calibrate laboratory instruments and equipment.
• Document procedures, observations, and results in accurate laboratory records.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or another STEM-related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Completed chemistry credit hours, including laboratory hours, at an accredited college or university.
• Experience or knowledge of gas chromatography instrumentation and analysis; training is available.
• Ability to work in a laboratory environment, stand for extended periods, work around strong odors, and wear required PPE.
