Laboratory Analyst I (Environment Testing)

Location: Earth City, Missouri, USA; must live within a commutable distance. Full-time, year-round second-shift schedule, ideally 2pm–10pm or 4pm–12am.

Compensation: USD 18–20 per hour, depending on experience, plus benefits.

What you will do

• Prepare, aliquot, and weigh environmental samples using standard laboratory techniques.
• Perform chemical analyses according to scientific, EPA, GMP, GLP, SOP, quality assurance, and EHS requirements.
• Calculate, record, and report analytical data and unusual test occurrences.
• Learn and operate complex instrumentation, including gas chromatography, gas chromatography/mass spectrometry, atomic absorption, and ICP systems.
• Perform routine instrument maintenance, wash glassware, maintain housekeeping, and complete work safely and efficiently.
• Work under close supervision while meeting time, quality, attendance, and overtime requirements.

Requirements

• Associate of Science degree in Chemistry or equivalent experience.
• At least 1–2 years of sample preparation or analytical experience is preferred.
• Professional working proficiency in English, including reading, writing, and speaking.
• Basic mathematics, calculator, computer, organization, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to follow written or verbal protocols, work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet time and quality constraints.
• Authorization to work indefinitely in the United States without restriction or sponsorship is required; visa sponsorship is not offered. Ability to lift up to 25 lbs frequently and 50 lbs occasionally is also required.

Nice to have

• Environmental laboratory experience.
• Experience with LIMS software.
• Experience with organic preparation, metals analysis, wet chemistry, radiochemistry, or high- and low-resolution preparation and analysis.
