Scientist I (Environmental Testing)

What you will do

• Support the analysis, administration, and oversight of air, water, and soil samples in the wet chemistry department.
• Apply standard chemistry and biochemistry policies, programs, and practices to environmental testing.
• Clean, maintain, and calibrate laboratory instruments.
• Maintain detailed and organized documentation for laboratory work.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a closely related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Ability to work in a laboratory or office setting and remain standing for extended periods while conducting tests.
• Ability to work around strong smells and handle samples while wearing required personal protective equipment.
• Personal protective equipment, including a lab coat, safety glasses, and gloves, is provided.
