Scientist I (GCMS)

Location: Pomona, California, USA; candidates must be within a commutable distance. Onsite schedule: Sunday through Thursday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., with overtime, late-shift, and weekend duties possible.

Compensation: $22.20–$27.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.

What you will do

• Prepare and analyze water samples using written EPA and Standard Methods procedures.
• Process analytical data, perform data entry, and complete written documentation.
• Perform routine maintenance on laboratory instruments.
• Prepare reagents and analytical standards.
• Complete general laboratory duties and support testing operations.
• Work scheduled overtime, late shifts, and weekends when required.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or a related scientific field.
• One to two years of laboratory experience.
• Strong mathematics, computer, written communication, organization, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Authorization to work indefinitely in the United States without restriction or sponsorship.
• Professional working proficiency in English is required, including reading, writing, and speaking.

Nice to have

• One to two years of GC or GCMS ChemStation experience.
