Location: Fremont, California, United States. Hybrid work arrangements may include a mix of in-office and remote work depending on the role and business needs.

Base salary: $110,621.72–$149,664.68 USD per year, plus eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus.

What you will do

  • Develop next-generation electrical controls solutions for semiconductor automation equipment.
  • Support electrical drive designs, analyze motor applications, and tune servo controls.
  • Design motion-control algorithms using robot dynamics, kinematics, system modeling, digital filtering, and control theory.
  • Characterize robot performance, stability, throughput, payload vibration, and motor temperature.
  • Perform design verification testing, software configuration, documentation, and product release activities.
  • Collaborate with mechanical and software engineers on complete product solutions and investigate field or manufacturing issues.

Requirements

  • BSEE with 4+ years of experience or MSEE with 2+ years of experience.
  • Knowledge of control theory, dynamic systems, robotics theory, and vibration analysis.
  • Experience with FOC and BLDC controls and strong knowledge of motors, actuators, sensors, electronics, and microcontrollers.
  • Competency in MATLAB, SPICE modeling and analysis, component selection, and datasheet interpretation.
  • Experience prototyping and debugging circuits in a laboratory using standard lab equipment.
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, technical communication, and presentation skills; occasional travel under 5%.

Nice to have

  • MATLAB control toolboxes and object-oriented programming experience.
  • Competency in Altium.
