Structured Cabling Design Engineer (Data Center): Designing scalable, standards-compliant fiber and copper cabling infrastructure for hyperscale and enterprise data centers with an accent on connectivity architecture, pathway capacity, and construction-ready documentation. Focus on coordinating multidisciplinary designs, validating installation and testing, and maintaining reliable, maintainable infrastructure across concurrent projects.
Location: Remote - Europe; occasional site surveys and field inspections may be required. Applicants must be authorized to work in the country where they apply.

What you will do
- Develop end-to-end structured cabling designs for new-build, expansion, retrofit, and capacity-add data center projects.
- Design fiber-optic and copper systems for network, compute, storage, management, security, and building infrastructure.
- Create MDF, IDF, MMR, network room, data hall, backbone, cross-connect, pathway, routing, and equipment connectivity designs.
- Produce single-line diagrams, cabling schematics, rack elevations, patching diagrams, connectivity schedules, bills of materials, and as-built documentation.
- Coordinate designs with network, electrical, mechanical, architectural, security, construction, operations, vendors, and deployment teams.
- Review construction packages, BIM/CAD models, submittals, RFIs, vendor proposals, installation work, certification results, commissioning, and project closeout.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience designing structured cabling, telecommunications, physical network infrastructure, or data center infrastructure.
- Strong experience in mission-critical or data center environments.
- Demonstrated knowledge of single-mode and multimode fiber-optic infrastructure.
- Experience determining fiber counts, cable and connector types, patch-panel requirements, termination methods, and pathway capacity.
- Knowledge of Category 6/6A copper systems and applicable TIA, BICSI, IEEE, NEC/NFPA, ISO/IEC, and manufacturer standards.
- Ability to work across multiple concurrent projects and maintain design quality and schedule commitments.
